Injeera is moving to Rotebühplatz! – Grand reopening on 28 October 2024.
Stuttgart’s most popular Eritrean restaurant, Injeera, will open its doors at its new location on 28 October 2024. After 16 successful years in the Bohnenviertel district, restaurateur Tesfamicael Sare, now a veteran of Stuttgart’s restaurant scene, is taking over the former premises of Fais Dodo. Following extensive renovation work, the owner is delighted to be able to delight his regular customers and a new audience with his culinary delights in the city centre.
Tess, as his friends call him, remains true to his authentic, successful concept: he still cooks himself, and his dishes are prepared fresh daily according to original Eritrean culinary traditions. Between zigni, injera, shiro, alicha, tumtumo, etc., vegetarians and vegans will also find a wide selection of delicacies – and at a fair price.
His new restaurant offers more space both inside and outside, which was necessary to meet the high demand. In addition, the new Injeera has an adjoining room that can be reserved for birthdays, company parties, celebrations, etc. in a private, cosy atmosphere.
Tess, Stuttgart’s most Swabian black man, as a friend remarks with a wink, came to Germany from Africa as a young man in the 1980s and gained a wealth of catering experience in establishments such as 451, Unbekanntes Tier, M1, Ebony and SAN’S. “These years of training gave me the courage to translate the culinary skills I had learned in my former home into my own gastronomic concept and open my own restaurant. After 16 years in the Bohnenviertel, I am now looking forward to experiencing a new chapter at Injeera with my guests.”
